There is a common theme amongst driven people. It’s that we are in search of something bigger and better at all times.
As we accomplish one goal, we move onto the next. We never stop to appreciate how far we’ve come. We just look at little further down the road for what is next.
The next project. The milestone. The next purchase. The next thing that will supposedly bring us satisfaction.
But of course, that satisfaction never comes.
We are chasing everything, and catching nothing.
Stop And Be Satisfied
To bring more contentment into your life, you need to take a moment to press pause. Stop chasing. Look around you, and embrace where you are now.
When you learn to live more in the moment, you’ll be more aware of the fruits of your efforts. You’ll be able to appreciate your life as it currently sits.
Sure, your life might not be perfect. But it never will be if you are constantly comparing yourself to an ideal future version of your life.

Nothing wrong with having goals, but I have found myself constantly ready for the next “chapter” my whole life. As I get older it is easy to see that I mentally rushed periods of my life because I was so ready to get on to the next thing.
A good reminder to be present and have perspective in every stage of life!

I’ve just started to want and make changes to having a simple life, your blogs of looking at life differently has helped me so much and I’ve become so much calmer since wanting less and appreciating where I am now and what I’ve got.

That is good to hear! Just remember that life is not black and white, and that it’s important to not view simplifying as the end itself, but rather a means to a more fulfilling life.
