Early rising is something that most people shy away from. However, with a developed practice of waking up early, you’ll find that your body can actually be happy to get up in the early hours of the morning.
Here are three ways that waking up early can help contribute to a simple life.
-
Less Rushed
Waking up early allows you to have more time in the morning (duh). The practice of early rising allows me to be less rushed at the start of the day, entering the world with less anxiety. By not starting my morning under the stress of time, I’m able to carry that healthy mindset into the start of the workday.

Personal Time
With a wife and a toddler, the early morning hours are my peaceful time to have to myself. But even if you’re single and living alone, the solitude of the early morning hours is something that you can enjoy for yourself. It’s a time with no obligations to work, friends, family or any other of life’s distractions.

Accomplish Early
Starting your day off with a personal accomplishment is shown to have benefits in productivity throughout the rest of your day. I personally like to either read, write, or exercise first thing in the morning. It’s a great feeling to get off work at 5pm and not feel obligated to “do” anything.
So what do you say, going to set your alarm for 5am tomorrow?
